Jealousy,
2002
91 cm wide x 122 cm tall
Oil on Canvas
Jealousy can be caught
in the flutter of an eyelid. She is a friend of Aphrodite and a splendid
partner in dance. She whisks through the air as the smallest of fairies.
She plays games with cupid and spies on us all. We can call her Intuition
as well. This little fairy is playful, bashful, flirtatious, rambunctious
and conniving. She sneaks into your thoughts and movements and if you
are not careful she grows and grows and grows into a demon so powerful
not even Love herself can stop her. But…… if we whisper to
her, love on her and dance with her she will stay a lovely little fairy
singing so elegantly into our ears with a tickle and whisping around on
our toes.
